This is a Sci-Fi storage crate that was created in 3ds Max, and textured in Substance Painter. I tried to follow the reference image as closely as possible. However I took some liberties in a few places like changing the back clasps, and the wear and tear.
For this asset I wanted to experiment more with a Face Weighted Normals workflow, so I only used a low-poly model here. This drastically reduced the time required to create this asset (start to finish in 2-3 days), while still producing some decent baking results. Various different alpha brushes (eg: arrows) were created in Photoshop to assist with the painting & texturing.
